You Are So Special

'I am the Lord' is a phrase used so many times in our beautiful Torah, especially in this week's parsha - Kedoshim, holy ones. So the Slonimer Rebbe says that after each mitzva, Hashem is saying: "Do you know how special you are? You are my holiest children! If 'I am the Lord,' and if I am the King, gevalt! Then each of you must be the holiest prince, the purest princess. Please, don't do this, or that, it really doesn't befit someone of your exalted stature.'

The Holy Rebbe adds that Hashem is also saying that if we do mess up, it's ok too. We are Hashem's sweetest children and he always forgives.

Part of being holy, and trying to be holy, especially now when we are preparing for the giving of the Torah, is to remember where we came from. We're each a piece of Hashem, the highest! I bless us all to remember this always, about ourselves, and about all our holy sisters and brothers. Good Shabbes, Good Yontiff . . .
