Why should I befall suffering upon my soul,
when she desires freedom?
If she feels herself to be the daughter of freedom
why should I place upon her feet the binds of prisoners?
Ascend to the heights, ascend according to your yearnings,
ascend higher and higher.
And if I feel that it is my sins that imprison(ed) her,
immediately I will bring her the strength of returning,
the highest returning,
the returning that is close to my mouth and heart.
And a thought of return, in the secrets of all its contemplations,
instantly will illuminate all her blackness and grant her strengths of
redemption.
