Gam Zu Letova

Upon completing Mishnayot Berachot today, the last mishnah reminded me of this story. Once a chassid came to the Maggid of Mezritch and asked him "I don't understand, how could the Mishna say that you have to bless G-d for the good as well as the bad, if something good happens then I should be happy, if not then I should be sad." So the Maggid of Mezritch replied, "I don't know the answer but my student Reb Zusha who lives in a town called Hanipoli, knows". So this chassid travels for days until he reached the town of Hanipoli. When he asked where Reb Zusha lives, the townspeople laughed and replied, "He lives in that broken down shack at the end of the street." When he walked in the shack he saw Reb Zusha with a Talmud opened, a cup of water, and some bread crumbs. It was obvious that Reb Zusha was the poorest guy in town. When Reb Zusha got up to great this man, the chassid noticed that Reb Zusha also had a skin disease all over his body. The chassid asked his question and in reply Reb Zusha said "I don't know the answer because nothing bad ever happened to me in my life."
I'd like to give my blessing from the holy land that we should all see the beauty of Eretz Yisrael and the holiness of ourselves even when things look bad.
Shabbat Shalom.
