In the second installment in this series Rav Natan Greenberg discusses the rise and spread of Hassidut in Eastern-Europe, including the story of the Baal Shem Tov, the Magid of Mezeritch, and the first few generations of Hassidim that followed.
In the third and final installment of the series Rav Natan Greenberg discusses the spread and success of Hassidism and resultant institutionalization, as well as revival movements in response to that trend which tried to take Hassidut back to it's revolutionary roots.

Rosh YeshivaRav Natan Greenberg is Founder and Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Bat Ayin. He studied Torah in Yeshivat Har Etzion and the Breslov Kollel in Jerusalem, and received his ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of the State of Israel. Before founding Bat Ayin, he served as Director of Gesher and worked in outreach with the Los Angeles Jewish community. |
